Have you driven past the construction on Jeffery Street and wondered what's going up? It's Boca Paddle by CityPickle, and it's expected to open Nov. 18.
I'm a local realtor in Delray Beach and Boca Raton, and I've really gotten into playing pickleball. I've driven by the site a lot over the past few months, and I'm so excited I booked a hard-hat tour for this morning at 10:30.
Quick answer: Boca Paddle is at 50 W. Jeffery St., north of Yamato. It's set to be Florida's largest indoor pickleball and padel facility, with 100,000 square feet on 8.1 acres, according to the Boca Raton Tribune and the Palm Beach Post. The Post puts the cost at $20 million.
What's inside
There will be 25 courts: 19 for pickleball, including a stadium court for tournaments that the Post says seats 1,000, and 6 high-clearance padel courts. 16 of the courts are indoor and climate-controlled (14 pickleball and 2 padel). The other 9 are outdoors: 5 under a canopy and 4 uncovered.
The club will run leagues, teams, camps, and wellness and social events. CityPickle, a New York operator, will manage it.
Farmer's Kitchen by Farmer's Table, from Farmer's Table founder Mitchell Robbins, is a full-service restaurant, cafe and bar on site. It's open to the public, and you don't need a membership to eat there.
Memberships, day passes and tours
Boca Paddle is membership-based, and the inaugural membership is capped at 1,000. Membership presales are open at https://www.bocapaddleclub.com/. The public can also buy day passes, and Boca residents get a special day-pass rate. Neither article lists prices.

Part of the new North Park
Boca Paddle is the first building in Boca's new public North Park. The park is a public-private partnership with the Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District, which owns the land.
What I think it means locally
If you live near North Park, you'll soon have a 25-court club, a restaurant anyone can walk into and a new public park close to home. That adds lifestyle value for the neighborhoods nearby, whether you play or not.
